Can Claude make barcodes?

Often yes. With code execution on (the default on Free, Pro and Max) Claude can install a barcode library in its sandbox and draw one, and Claude Code can do it on your disk. Without code execution it can only tell you which type to use. Connect the Barcode server (free token) and Claude draws EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and Code 128 barcodes as SVG and checks the digits. To sell in retail, yes. The server draws any valid number, but the number itself must come from GS1 or your supplier.
