What it knows that a model doesn't

A model answers from training data. This server reads the source when you ask.

  • The Forever stamp price from USPS Notice 123 with its effective date ($0.82 from October 4, 2026), plus the extra ounce, postcard, large envelope and Global Forever prices.
  • Postage for a letter, postcard or large envelope by weight to the US or another country, with the surcharge for square cards and the total for a quantity.
  • Retail Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express flat rate envelope and box prices.

Sources USPS Notice 123, the official retail price list on Postal Explorer (pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/Notice123.htm), read at call time with its effective date.

Questions

Is the postage stamp price MCP server free?
Yes. The hosted URL is free and needs no token, key or account. The source is open on GitHub.
Why not just ask the model?
A model answers from its training data. That data stops at a cutoff date, and long sums can drift. This server reads its data or rules each time you ask, so the answer is current and exact.
Where does the data come from?
USPS Notice 123, the official retail price list on Postal Explorer (pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/Notice123.htm), read at call time with its effective date.
Which apps can use it?
Any MCP client that accepts a remote server URL: Claude.ai and Claude Desktop custom connectors, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and others. You can also run it locally with npx.
