What it knows that a model does not

A model answers from training data. This server reads the source when you ask.

  • The enhanced credits ended after 2025. For 2026 coverage, income above 400% of the poverty line gets no credit at all.
  • The 2026 applicable percentage table from Rev. Proc. 2025-25, from 2.10% to 9.96% of income.
  • The poverty lines for 2024 to 2026 for the 48 states, Alaska and Hawaii, and the repayment caps, which no longer apply from 2026.

Questions

Is the ACA premium tax credit MCP server free?
Yes. The hosted URL is free and needs no token, key or account. The source is open on GitHub.
Why not just ask the model?
A model answers from its training data. That data stops at a cutoff date, and long sums can drift. This server reads its data or rules each time you ask, so the answer is current and exact.
Where does the data come from?
IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-25, IRS premium tax credit Q&A, Form 8962 instructions, HHS poverty guidelines in the Federal Register, P.L. 119-21 sec. 71305.
Which apps can use it?
Any MCP client that accepts a remote server URL: Claude.ai and Claude Desktop custom connectors, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and others. You can also run it locally with npx.
