Find a meeting time across time zones

Remote teams lose hours to 'what time is that for you?'. Ops staff and assistants need a meeting time inside everyone's working hours, and a calendar file to send.

Claude knows time zones, but daylight saving gaps trip it up and it can't see calendars. With Timezone and Calendar connected, Claude ranks slots inside everyone's working hours on real dates, checks your imported calendar for clashes and writes a .ics invite.

Without a tool, and with the tool

Without a tool

Claude knows time zones, but it can get daylight saving dates wrong, especially in the weeks when the US and Europe change clocks on different days. It doesn't know your calendar or anyone's working hours.

With Timezone and Calendar

Timezone stores people with their zone and working hours, ranks meeting slots inside everyone's hours on real dates, lists clock changes and writes a .ics file. Calendar imports your .ics calendars, finds free and busy time, and flags double bookings.

Example · James O'Neill, consultant in Dublin with a weekly client call in Chicago

Check a weekly call before the clocks change

Timezone
You

Our call is 4pm Dublin every Tuesday. When do the clocks change in 2027 for Dublin and Chicago?

  1. dst_changes Lists the 2027 changes for Chicago: 14 March and 7 November
  2. dst_changes Lists the 2027 changes for Dublin: 28 March and 31 October
  3. convert_time Converts 16:00 Dublin to Chicago for a date between the changes
Result

From 14 to 28 March 2027 the gap is 5 hours, not 6, so the call is at 11:00 in Chicago instead of 10:00. James warns the client two weeks ahead.

Common mistakes with this job

  • Scheduling in the weeks when the US and Europe have changed clocks on different dates.
